In France: The Channel tunnel is just outside Calais, take junction 42 of the A16 motorway and the slip road takes you straight to the Check-In booths.
Brittany has a warm, temperate climate which benefits from the warm gulf stream on the western side. Generally mild summers and cool winters.However the south coast of Brittany can be very hot in mid summer,but with Brittany been in the north west part of France, it can also turn cloudy or wet at any time of the year. In winter time, Brittany benefits from a remarkably mild climate, especially in the far west where frost and snow are quite rare.

You can enjoy almost any activity that is your pleasure in Brittany, maybe you would like to spend your leisuretime on one of the many stunning golf courses in the Brittany area for the budding Tiger Woods among you, some of which are the oldest golf courses in France. Or maybe angling is your passion, fish for sea bass, bream, turbot and sole on the beaches or on boat trips or try your hand at sailing for the more adventurous.
Brittany has more walking trails than any other region of France, there are some great walks around the coast and beach areas or through the beautiful Brittany countryside as well as along by the riverside. So many to choose from if you have the energy.Biking holidays nearly always pass through Brittany, en-route across France. The countryside is not to be missed.
Festivals start in May and run through the summer but for something completely different there is the "Fete des Remparts, Dinan" - the third weekend in July every two years, the town of Cotes d"Armor hosts one of Europe"s largest medieval festivals. 5000 people dressed in medieval clothes take to the flag decked streets. The festival includes tournaments, market, battles , dancing and jousting.

French water can be drunk but some may wish to avoid it.
